1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how GIF Studio (the “App”) handles information when you use our Android GIF maker and editor. You can use the App without creating an account.
2. Media and local processing
Media that you select or capture is used to prepare, preview, edit, save drafts, and create exports on your device. GIF Studio does not upload your photos, videos, GIFs, project files, text overlays, or completed exports to servers operated by us.
Your drafts and exported files remain on your device until you delete them, clear the App’s data, uninstall the App, or remove them through Android or another file-management tool. When you choose Share, Android sends the selected export only to the app or service you choose.
3. Permissions
The App may request the following permissions only when they are needed:
- Camera: used when you choose to capture a GIF inside the App.
- Notifications: used to show export progress and completion status on supported Android versions.
- Storage on older Android versions: used to save exported media to your gallery where Android requires legacy storage permission.
You can review or revoke permissions at any time in Android Settings. Some related features may stop working if a required permission is denied.
4. Firebase Analytics
GIF Studio uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand general feature usage and improve the App. Analytics may process information such as app version, device and operating-system information, approximate region, session activity, advertising identifiers where permitted, and events describing which features were used.
Our analytics events are designed not to include your media content, local file paths, media URIs, project identifiers, file names, text overlay content, or exported files. Google processes analytics data under its own terms and privacy practices.
5. Advertising
The App uses Google Mobile Ads to support development. Google and its partners may process device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, app interactions, and other technical information to deliver, limit, secure, and measure advertisements, subject to your device settings, consent choices, and applicable law.
You can manage ad personalization and reset or delete your advertising identifier through Android or Google settings where available.
6. Downloadable fonts and creative assets
GIF Studio may download optional fonts, stickers, and other creative resources from our Firebase Hosting sites. These requests can expose standard network information, such as IP address, user agent, request time, and requested resource, to the hosting and content-delivery infrastructure. The downloaded resources do not contain your media.

8. Data retention and your choices
You control media, drafts, and exports stored by the App on your device. You may delete drafts or exports in the App, clear App storage, or uninstall the App. Analytics and advertising information is retained by the applicable third-party provider according to its settings, policies, and legal obligations.
9. Security
We use reasonable safeguards in the App and rely on Android’s application sandbox for local App data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children’s privacy
GIF Studio is not directed to children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own servers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App or applicable requirements change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
